‘Girls Have Balls’ is a concept for Adidas, aimed at keeping girls in sports. Emily and I homed in on the sport tennis, where we found the majority of girls dropped out at an early age due to the competitive nature between genders. The challenge of this project was: how do stop girls from dropping tennis, and keep them playing for entertainment purposes. We decided to create pink courts around London which by entering, you could gain points on the Adidas site to redeem the merchandise. Ultimately, this would create a sense of community for those playing for pleasure and not competition.
